The School of Nursing was built from scratch in 2013 on the foundation of a dream, vision, and several needs. Started with 20 students, but then the numbers were enhanced to 30 seats. The students who walked into these corridors to be trained as GNM nurses trailed and toiled but flew out in a wisp of pride and full of colours. We have seen 13 batches of general nursing and midwifery students enter and 9 th batch of GNM students leave successfully. We always adhered to the Indian Nursing Council standards, prioritizing quality and holistic excellence in nurturing students on these premises. Divine providence endowed this place with the blessing of upgrading to a college of nursing in 2024. 20 seats have been allotted for B.Sc. Nursing students and 30 seats for GNM students. The second batch of B.Sc. Nursing has entered, and we await the fruits in the years to come. CON’s teaching team comprises experienced and dedicated educators and clinical experts who provide personalized mentoring, encouraging students to excel both academically and professionally. Regular workshops, seminars, retreats, broaden perspectives and keep students abreast of evolving healthcare practices. Patient-centred care and ethical values are imbibed into the assignments and every curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activity focused on holistic growth. Problems encountered were catered to by counselling, mentoring, coaching, and parental involvement whenever necessary. The college is looking forward to establishing itself as a centre of training excellence in the state slowly but steadily.
